I bring science to life with creativity and storytelling.

I’m a writer who believes in the power of stories to connect us to ourselves, each other, and the world around us. With a background as a doctor, I’ve spent years transforming intricate medical and scientific topics into words that resonate: simple, human, and true.

Writing to me, is more than just arranging facts; it’s about honouring the relationships between ideas, emotions, and the people they serve. Like each breath that flows in and out of us, each piece I write is part of a larger process, an ongoing conversation between knowledge and understanding.

I’ve worked to create writing that doesn’t just explain and leave it there, but invites ongoing curiosity, trust, and connection. Whether I’m exploring science or unravelling the threads of complicated health issue, I hope to leave a little clarity in an increasingly complex world.

I live in Cape Town, surrounded by mountains, sea, and the mysteries of time and space. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me moving my body to music, reflecting on the stories we tell ourselves, or sitting with the quiet wonder of it all. Writing is my way of reaching out.

“Here, on the edge of what we know, in contact with the ocean of the unknown, shines the mystery and beauty of the world. And it’s breathtaking.”

― Carlo Rovelli, Seven Brief Lessons on Physics
